How Kellie's Corner began
Kellie Rivas was born in Salem, Oregon in 1966 — and she has been working hard her entire life. From the age of 8, she spent summers picking apples, berries, cherries, and strawberries in the fields of Oregon. By the time she was 16, she had learned something that would stay with her forever: the value of honest work and the satisfaction of a job done well.
That work ethic carried her through nearly two decades at Walmart — where she joined as one of the original employees and rose to become a Department Manager, a role she held with pride for 18½ years. She knows retail inside and out, and she brings that professionalism to every single order she ships.
In 2019, Kellie opened Kellie's Corner Inc Thrift Store & Boutique as a physical storefront in Pocatello, Idaho — a dream she'd been building toward for years. The store ran until 2022, when Kellie packed up, followed the California sunshine, and landed in San Luis Obispo. These days she's enjoying the good life on the Central Coast — and channelling that same love of the find into her eBay store, where she ships unique treasures to buyers all across the country.
